A Beloved Clearwater Tradition

A dazzling Clearwater holiday tradition returns! Clearwater Yacht Club is proud to host the 52nd Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade on Saturday, December 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
For more than five decades, this spectacular procession of beautifully illuminated vessels has lit up Clearwater’s waterways and become a beloved part of the holiday season. Each year, families, boaters, residents, and visitors gather along the waterfront to experience the magic and celebrate our community’s maritime spirit.

The celebration also gives back to our community. The Holiday Lighted Boat Parade supports youth sailing scholarships at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center, providing opportunities for children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast to experience sailing and life on the water.

Over the years, the parade has raised thousands of dollars to support this important mission. With the help of our participating boaters, sponsors, community partners, and spectators, we look forward to making the 52nd Annual Holiday Lighted Boat Parade our biggest and most impactful yet!

Parade Route

The parade launches just north of the Mandalay Channel Bridge, cruising around Island Estates, past Coachman Park, toward the Sand Key Bridge, and past Clearwater Yacht Club before concluding at the Clearwater Beach Marina. Along the route, spectators can enjoy spectacular views of the illuminated vessels as they make their way through Clearwater’s waterways. Boats will pass the official judging area at Clearwater Beach Marina, where entries will be evaluated as part of the evening’s festivities.
 

Boater Registration

Participation is FREE and open to all vessels—individual and commercial alike! Whether you’re a seasoned boater, a first-time parade participant, a local business, or simply ready to light up the water for the holidays, we invite you to join the fun.

To be eligible for judging and prizes, all participating vessels must register and receive an official parade number. A distinguished panel of judges representing the Clearwater community and Clearwater Yacht Club will evaluate entries, with cash and prizes awarded across multiple categories.

Boats may embrace a traditional holiday theme or get creative with a theme all their own. Entries will be judged on theme, color, lighting, creativity, and special effects. Most importantly, crews are encouraged to be safe, have fun, and help us bring some holiday magic to Clearwater!

Mandatory Captain’s Meeting

All participating vessels must be represented at the mandatory Pre-Parade Captain’s Meeting on Thursday, December 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Clearwater Yacht Club in the Dry Dock area.

During the meeting, important parade instructions, route maps, safety information, and official boat numbers will be distributed.

Due to increased participation and limited space, attendance at the meeting is restricted to the Captain and First Mate only. If the Captain is unable to attend, a designated crew member must attend on their behalf to receive all necessary parade materials and instructions.

Help us light up Clearwater while making a difference in the lives of local children! Net proceeds from the Holiday Lighted Boat Parade fund youth sailing scholarships at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center, giving children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast the opportunity to attend sailing camps and experience life on the water.

The more support we receive, the more children we can send to camp!

Sponsoring the parade is also a wonderful opportunity to showcase your business while supporting one of Clearwater’s longest-running holiday traditions. Depending on sponsorship level, sponsors may receive recognition through local media, social media, CYC communications, event materials, and additional opportunities surrounding the parade.

Slip Information

Limited overnight slips are available at the Clearwater Municipal Beach Marina on a first-come, first-served basis for parade participants.
